PasSafe is a convenient desktop tool to manage security passwords and user access codes and can be used to randomly generate hard to crack 7 character passwords. The PasSafe database is highly encrypted to ensure the integrity of the stored data. PasSafe can also be used to store other sensitive data such as serial numbers, insurance policy details and other access related information. Web site URLs and email addresses can automatically be linked to the display of a password. Forgotten passwords can easily be recovered by utilizing 1 or more key questions that can be created during setup. PasSafe automatically closes after a period of inactivity and for added security from view by a passerby, does not show the password until a Show password button is used. There is no limit to the number of codes and passwords stored and items can be categorized for convenient retrieval. PasSafe allows multi user access for corporate users and provides multiple profiles to enable departments such as human resources, accounts, sales to independently store their own specific data.
